Human Resources Manager


Essential Search Partners is engaged in the search for a Human Resources Manager to join our stable and continually growing client headquartered in Northern Virginia.  We are targeting an HR professional comfortable working in a $300MM+ revenue organization, with over 500 employees, in growth mode, with substantial Payroll and Benefits experience to include:

·        Automated HRIS systems

·        Multi-state, exempt and nonexempt employees

·        Employee benefit administration experience

·        Hands-on payroll administration of day-to-day transactions

·        Leadership and supervisory  


Responsibilities

The Manager should be familiar with most labor laws to ensure our client remains compliant.  This role will involve a high volume of transactions requiring a highly organized professional with good prioritization skills.


Requirements

·        Degreed professional with 8-10 years relevant Human Resources experience in Payroll and Benefits discipline

·        Strong knowledge of FMLA, workers comp, HSA, benefits renewal analysis and negotiation

·        Ability to communicate in a professional manner across the organization in both an administrative and strategic fashion

·        Ability to develop benefit renewal strategies to include improving time sheet compliance

·        Strong Payroll Administration:  exceptional process-oriented analysis of payroll prior to submittal to payroll vendor 

·        Meticulous analytical skills:  detect and fix errors with proactive approach to avoid recurrence 

·        Strong HRIS aptitude with preferably systems implementation and system upgrade experience

·        High level data manipulation skills utilizing MS Excel and MS Word:  effectively manage both the payroll and benefit functions as well as general ledger payroll interface
